Contact Form Submissions: When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), project type, and message.
Automatically Collected Data: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and approximate geographic location. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
Cookies: We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics) and spam prevention (Google reCAPTCHA). See Section 7 below.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Respond to your inquiries and project requests
Improve our website and services
Prevent spam and abuse of our contact form
Analyze site usage patterns (in aggregate, not individually)

4. Data Storage and Retention

Contact form submissions are stored in Google Workspace (Google Sheets and Gmail) under our organizational account. We retain form submissions for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which they were collected, or as required by law. You may request deletion at any time.

We use the following third-party services:

Google Apps Script: Form submission processing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*): Used to distinguish unique users and sessions. Expire after 2 years / 24 hours respectively.
reCAPTCHA cookies: Used by Google to assess form submission legitimacy.
eis-cookie-consent (localStorage): Records your cookie consent preference. No expiration.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not affect the core functionality of this site.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and access controls on stored data. For more detail, see our Information Security Program.

This site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. California/State Privacy Rights

11. SMS / Text Messaging

EISengineering operates SMS notification programs (including EISengineering Operations Notifications) that send system and operational alert messages to enrolled users. See our SMS Notification Programs page for program descriptions and enrollment details.

When you enroll in an SMS program we collect your mobile phone number, your opt-in consent record (date, time, and method of consent), and the messages exchanged with you. We use this information solely to deliver the notifications you requested, to provide support, and to maintain records of consent.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties. We may share information only with service providers acting on our behalf to deliver messages (e.g., our messaging platform provider), or where required by law.

Message frequency varies based on the alerts and notifications applicable to your account or equipment. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming your opt-out.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
